This course is designed to improve a student's ability to spot trustworthy (friends) and untrustworthy counterparts (foes) through an enhanced understanding of nonverbal communication. Understanding nonverbal cues assists you in assessing when you can trust the other side and when you must be wary of their intentions. Though many wish that their interactions could be “just business” (i.e. rational and unemotional) our experience tells us that they cannot. This course improves a student's ability to diagnose and effectively respond to an emotion in order to achieve value-maximizing outcomes. Professor Boyle is seeking a Teaching Fellow to assist with Advanced Negotiations, duties include grading and meeting with students.
