Course Length: May 10 - July 27, 9:00am-12:15pm, Fridays and Saturdays every other weekend. May 10, 11, June 7, 8, 21, 22, July 12, 13, 26, 27 Job Description: Main responsibilities include standard course management tasks. This includes but is not limited to: Updating the course's Brightspace page, managing the uploading of course materials to Brightspace and ensuring their delivery to students, grading of certain assignments, recording grades, attending class sessions (as much as possible), managing classroom technology (setting guests up on Zoom, etc.) and responding to students’ questions about assignments and logistics. Qualifications: Required: You must: • have taken the Marketing core course at Stern, or studied marketing elsewhere. • be available to attend as many of the classes as possible in the term. • be comfortable with Brightspace, Zoom, spreadsheets and Google Forms. Desired: previous TF work experience. Course Description: There will be 59 students in the course, forming 11 groups. They are executives who are average age of 36-38 and all work full-time in addition to getting their MBA. Marketing is designed to provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts of marketing management, and experience in making marketing decisions in uncertain environments. Specifically, the course will cover issues relating to developing marketing strategy and planning marketing tactics. This treatment will be largely from a practical perspective with the emphasis being on managerial decision-making. Professor Bio: Ruth P. Stevens consults on customer acquisition and retention, and teaches marketing at business schools in the U.S. and abroad. Ruth has taught at Columbia and NYU Stern business schools in New York, and abroad at Hong Kong UST, Singapore Management University, Athens College, San Andres University (Buenos Aires), Jagiellonian University (Krakow) and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Ruth is a guest contributor at MarTech, Biznology, and CustomerThink. She co-hosts the Marketing Legends and Marketing Horizons podcasts . Her newest book is B2B Data-Driven Marketing: Sources, Uses, Results. Ruth has held senior marketing positions at Time Warner, Ziff-Davis, and IBM and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
