Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women: Black in Business (BiB) is an education program dedicated to equipping sole proprietors with the tools necessary to turn their business potential into business growth. The BiB program helps entrepreneurs (who we call Scholars in the program) learn how to price their product or service, hire their first employee, understand their finances, and so much more. NYU Stern is the national education partner to the Black in Business program, delivering the curriculum and managing the overall Scholar experience. The selected graduate fellow will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Black in Business program team to support program objectives and initiatives. These responsibilities will include: Program Support Provide on-going support to BiB program team by assisting with program management workflows Assist with online curriculum delivery and faculty office hour management Track Scholar milestones & facilitate key communications Report any issues or concerns back to program team Support on-going assessment measures including survey reporting & other data analysis Provide administrative support for the program and team members as needed Maintain scheduled office hours and meet regularly with supervisor Provide general support as it relates to the operations and programs Provide coverage on email inbox Assist/manage special projects as needed and assigned by supervisor Preferred Qualifications Desire to help black women entrepreneurs build and scale their businesses - experience with small business a bonus! Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work on a cross-functional, diverse team of faculty, staff and external partners Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite and familiarity with Survey Monkey and Calendly (preferred but optional) Requirements: We just scaled the program to 300 Scholars and need help ASAP! The time commitment is for 10 hrs/week for the fall semester with the possibility for extension into the Spring. Monday is Black in Business curriculum day, so availability to be online and working on Mondays from 11-12:30 and/or 4-5:30 is highly preferred. The remainder of the schedule is hybrid and can be flexible around your class schedule. You must be able to commit to the role through the 2024 Fall semester (through December 13, 2024).
