Research Title: Digital Business Models
Description: Conduct economic research about major technology and digital companies, including Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Samsung and Yahoo! Gather and analyze data that leads to a clearer understanding of the evolution of their product lines, the contribution of their platform to their revenue, the mix between hardware and content. Participate in the development of analytical economic models that describe different digital sectors.
Through this project, the RA will gain a deep understanding of these companies and their industries, and a perspective on how economists might approach modeling what's different about them.
